Recognition highlights SEMC’s commitment to providing high-quality cardiac rehabilitation close to home
Sleepy Eye Medical Center is proud to announce that its cardiovascular rehabilitation program has earned certification from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), a national organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions.
For patients recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery or other cardiovascular conditions, rehabilitation can be an important part of getting back to everyday life. At Sleepy Eye Medical Center, patients receive personalized support through exercise, education, counseling and encouragement—all designed to help them build strength, improve their heart health and feel confident moving forward.
“Providing exceptional cardiac rehabilitation close to home is an important part of the care we offer our community. Meeting nationally recognized standards for quality demonstrates our commitment to excellence and to ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care throughout their recovery,” said Wende Davis, SEMC’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Manager.
Quality Care, Close to Home
AACVPR certification recognizes cardiovascular rehabilitation programs that demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practices, quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.
To earn certification, SEMC’s cardiac rehabilitation program completed an extensive application and peer-review process demonstrating that its practices meet standards and guidelines established by AACVPR and other professional organizations. The certification process also incorporates performance measures that focus on meaningful patient outcomes.
For patients, that recognition means more than a certification on the wall. It reflects SEMC’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality cardiac rehabilitation and helping patients achieve better health—right here in their own community.
AACVPR Program Certification is valid for three years.
