Sleepy Eye Medical Center is asking community members to consider donating face masks amidst the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which has resulted in a worldwide shortage.
“We are humbled and grateful by the individual commitment and the wave of community support that align with our values and efforts to keep our community safe,” said Chiloe Kottke, Director of Nursing, SEMC.
The facility would appreciate donations of factory-made N95 and ear loop masks, as well as hand-sewn ear loop masks. Instructions on how to sew masks can be found below:

Updated Drop-Off Instructions as of 3/23/2020 at 4 p.m.
Current drop-off hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the SEMC Clinic parking lot. Donors should call 507-794-3691 once they arrive and a member of the SEMC healthcare team will greet them at their vehicle. Masks will then be sent to laundry services to be prepared for use. Any surplus of masks will be distributed to other organizations in need.
