Matter of Balance Class

Sleepy Eye Medical Center, in conjunction with Minnesota River Area Agency of Aging,® Inc., will offer an four-week workshop titled “A Matter of Balance” on Mondays and Wednesdays from October 1-24. Meetings will take place from 1-3 p.m. in the Lower Level of SEMC.

This workshop helps people practice strategies to manage falls and increase activity levels. Areas of focus include learning to view falls as controllable and setting goals to increase activity, strength and balance. In addition, participants will learn how to make changes to reduce fall risks at home.

Those Who Will Benefit

  • Anyone who is concerned about falls
  • Anyone who has fallen in the past
  • Anyone interested in improving balance, strength and flexibility
  • Adults 60 years of age or older
