- Fine Motor Delay: handwriting, cutting, playing games, playing with age-appropriate toys, etc.
- Sensory Integration: bothered by textures such as certain clothing, loud noises, over-stimulation with lights and people, etc.
- Feeding Difficulties: limits food choices to certain textures, food groups, or difficulties with transitioning to next stage of food appropriate for age)
- Self-Care Skills: dressing (buttons, snaps, zippers); bathing; grooming (brushing teeth, tying shoes, etc.)
- Visual Perception Dysfunction: eye-hand coordination, reversals with writing, writing on lines or within spaces, copying, etc.
- Self-Regulation: calming strategies, organizing and managing time, staying on task, self-control, following routines

Meet Our Occupational Therapist
Abby Schwartz, OT
Abby graduated with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2012. Abby enjoys working with people of all ages and conditions. She has experiences with outpatient pediatrics as well as within schools and early intervention programs. Abby also works with adults with varying conditions including hand therapy, neurological dysfunction, and physical disabilities. She is certified in sensory integration and trained in pediatric feeding therapy using the SOS approach. She also provides driving evaluations for individuals identified as potential driving risk. Abby resides in Sleepy Eye with her husband and three children.
