Have you experienced extraordinary care from one of our nurses? The DAISY Award® is a special way to recognize and celebrate nurses who go above and beyond to provide compassionate, skillful care to patients and families.

The DAISY Award was created in 2000 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes to honor the nurses who cared for him during his illness. Deeply moved by the compassion and expertise shown, his family wanted to create a lasting way to say “thank you.” Today, the DAISY Award is an international program that honors exceptional nurses in hospitals and clinics around the world.

At Sleepy Eye Medical Center, we are proud to take part in this program. Nurses chosen as DAISY Honorees are celebrated for the meaningful difference they make in the lives of others. Each honoree receives a DAISY sculpture, a certificate, and is recognized during a special ceremony.
