DESCRIPTION:Sleepy Eye Medical Center will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday\, July 24 in the Lower Level of SEMC.  \nWalk-ins will be accepted\, but appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment\, call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 or visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter “Sleepy Eye Medical Center.” Double red cell donations will be accepted at this drive. \nDonors can give blood every 56 days or every 120 days for those who donate double red cells. Those with eligibility questions should call the donor health line at 1-866-236-3276. \nAccording to the Red Cross\, donors with all blood types are needed\, especially those with types O negative\, A negative and B negative.

DESCRIPTION:Sleepy Eye Medical Center\, along with Brown County Public Health\, South Central Minnesota EMS System and Child Passenger Safety Car Seat Installation & Education Service\, will offer a free car seat checkup clinic from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday\, June 12 in the parking lot at SEMC. \nCertified child passenger safety technicians will check for recalls and ensure all child safety seats are installed by manufacturer specifications. Each seat check takes 30-40 minutes. Participants should bring all manuals for their vehicle(s) and seat(s). \nAppointments are required for car seat checks and can be made by calling Brown County Public Health at 507-233-6820 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.\, Monday through Friday. \n

DESCRIPTION:The fifteenth annual Sleepy Eye Medical Center Golf Tournament is on Thursday\, May 31\, 2018 at the Sleepy Eye Golf Club. Check-in will begin at 11:30 a.m.\, followed by a 12 p.m. shotgun start. \nThis 18-hole\, three-person best ball tournament is a fundraiser for the Sleepy Eye Healthcare Foundation\, a 501 (c)(3) organization that provides financial support to the medical center\, its patients and area communities. The tournament includes a Mulligans and skins game\, several prize drawings and dinner to follow. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Note: No bikes or pets\, please.  \nRace Details\nThe 2018 5K will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday\, May 12 around the Sleepy Eye Bike Trail. The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday\, October 4 at the Sleepy Eye Event Center. \nBe Creative\, Be Inspired and Be Supported\n\n\nBe Creative: With the help and expertise of A to Zinnia Floral and Gift\, individualize one of three fall projects for your home. \nBe Inspired: Listen to local breast cancer survivors and sisters\, Alisha Schmidt and Andrea Merkel\, talk about their journey toward healing. *Sponsored by Northland Lumber Run \nBe Supported: Dr. Karlyn Armbruster of SEMC will talk about ways women can lower their risk for breast cancer and lead healthy lives. \nEvent Details\nComplimentary hor d’oeurves and desserts will be served\, and a cash bar will be available. Additional fundraising activities\, including a wine pull\, may also take place. DESCRIPTION:The fourteenth annual Sleepy Eye Medical Center Golf Tournament is on Thursday\, June 1 at the Sleepy Eye Golf Club.
